My Ramblings...

Happiness advent calender is the first album i recorded since moving to meanjin (brisbane). me and kate had been doing a little bit of music togther before i moved, we did a little acoustic cover album early in 2024 (i think) that is up on most streaming sites. to be honest it was just cool having a music project to sink sometime time in to since mouse stoped in 2023 after we realease our second album.

i had it in my head that i wanted to record this album as honest to how we sounded live as possible. i have a bit of a pet peave for band that sound amazing live and they drop there first release and it sounds nothing like them. so we recorded this album in our practice space with the conditions of:

- only having full instruments takes (no chopping and splicing of takes)

- only having 1 guitar track (we were a 3 peice so i wanted ot record it like that)

and for better or for worst im happy we stuck by that and im happy with how our first record turned out :)
