My Ramblings...

ok, so this was the first album i was apart off. Palbum is a band that formed back in 2016 by me, cole and wil. it started as more of a "thing to do on the weekend" rather than a real project. for the most part we would practise instrumental covers of sex bob-omb and white stripe's songs for 20 mintues then go upstairs and drink soda and talk about the new indie games we've been playing. the main ones i remember was super meat boy, devil daggers, vvvvvv, toy box turbos.

finally we got our shit together and released a recording of the 3 songs we would play all the time and we felt were out strongest songs. which included:

-Milton Bradley (our one original)

-Garbage truck (yes, the sex bob-omb song)

- Canon/Astro ( a white stripes medley)

by the way, none of these songs had ANY singing on it. just us in a basement playing powerchords. it was fun tho, and honestly kinda popped of in the school a little bit. we definitly weren't a cool band. but i think people where just curious about the nerds in there grade that released music

anyway, shit went on, we played some shows around the school, tried to practise when we could but things were slowing down a bit and Wil bailed on the band bc it wasnt working out. but me and cole continued on, and honestly, kinda locked the fuck in. we knew we wanted to release more work and we had a handfull of songs and we just got it done. with a single usb microphone and the free DAW "Audacity" we recorded 8 songs! and this time with LYRICS AND SINGING! CRAZY!!! we used up our allocated highschool print allowance printing CD booklets at the libaray on out lunch break then we released the record.

they actually sold ok, people were into it. i mean again i could've totally just be more curiousity of "woah those 2 nerds in out grade are still making music" but still it was good.

im really happy we spent as much time as we did on music back in highschool. it really gave me and cole room to just experiment and work out how to write songs in a relitively safe and supportive enviroment. and i feel like that really helped me and cole become the musicians we are today

(btw totally check out coles music HERE, its all so good and amazing and hes one of my fav song writers)

i actually re drew this album cover when i was thinking of reprint this album on a couple of cassettes around 2022. the booklet desing i made for the re release was actually really cool to. maybe if the ep was better id be more inclined to have actually gone through with the run of tapes

ill keep adding to this as i think of things......
